The Nano Photonics and Device (Nano PhD) Laboratory focuses on nanomaterials and structures for optoeletronic devices and biomedical applications. We exploit light interactions in nanomaterials and nanostrutures which can be enable highly efficient photovoltaic devices as well as highly sensitive bio sensors. Nanocrystal quantum dots, carbon based nanomaterials such as CNT, C60 and graphene and nanowires are promising materials for next generation optoelectronic/electronic devices. We develop novel devices especially using solution based fabrication process with nanomaterials to be enable controlled micro/ nanostructures for various applications. Our reserch also focused on nanophotonics based biomedical sensors and nanostructured sensor system for highly sensitive point-of-care diagnosis.
